1 COVID-19

1.1 By attending LHDA classes/workshops you agree to comply with all relevant Covid-19 safety guidelines that have been decided on by LHDA management in line with relevant health and safety advice. 

1.2 LHDA reserves the right to refuse entry to any person who is displaying symptoms of Covid-19, is feeling unwell, or is unwilling to comply with health and safety guidelines.

2 LHDA CLASSES

1. Fees, deposits and refunds

1.1 A fee is charged for each class enrolled per term and a deposit of $100 is taken on enrolment at the start of the year to hold your place in a class. This deposit fee is non refundable. Committing to enrol is a commitment to the class you are enrolling in.

1.2 Students are expected to attend all classes and an invoice will be raised for the whole term at the start of each term. 

1.3 Fees will only be pro rata when a new student starts during a term. Existing students pay for a full term even if they are unable to start back at the start of a term.

1.4 Students who enrol during the year will be issued an invoice following their first class to enable payment immediately.

1.5 Refunds will not be given for non-attendance.

 

2. Payment

2.1 Invoices must be settled by the due date to secure your place; or prior to starting classes following their free trial class, in cases where a student is enrolling mid term.

2.2 Payment can be made: 

By Cash; fees must be in a sealed envelope clearly stating the students name and grade on the front. The enclosed amount must exactly match the invoice amount. This can be handed to your teacher.

By Direct Bank Transfer;  Students full name is to be used as the reference.

3. Register, Attendance and Absence

3.1 A roll for each class is maintained by the teacher and records student attendance for the purposes of health, safety and security. 

3.2 If a student is absent from class for four or more consecutive weeks, a refund of 90% of the fees paid for those classes not attended will be given on the evidence of a medical certificate. The medical certificate must be provided within one month of the absence otherwise no refund will be given.

3.3 If a class is cancelled due to the sickness of the teacher, a health epidemic or any other seen or unforeseen event, the Academy will endeavour to reschedule the class. This may be on a different day or a different time or both from when the class was originally scheduled, and might involve an extension to the term time dates. No refunds or credits will be given in this case.

 

4. Late Payment

4.1 The payer will receive written notice if payment has not been received in accordance with these terms and conditions. 

4.2 The Academy reserves the right to charge a late payment fee if an invoice remains unpaid after the due date.

 

5. Right to attend, change classes, withdrawal and termination of attendance

5.1 If an invoice has not been paid by the due date, the student will not be admitted to any classes until the invoice has been paid in full. 

5.2 The Academy reserves the right at any time during the term to ask students to leave a class if any fees remain outstanding after the start of the term.

5.3 If a student wishes to change classes or to start an additional class, the parent/guardian must give their consent in writing via email so that they can be invoiced for the additional or new class.

 

6. Discounts

6.1 Where two or more siblings attend class or a single student is taking more than one class per week, a multiple class/wk discount will be applied.

Multiple Class per Week % Discounts (% discounts do not apply to acro classes)

2 classes/wk 10% discount

3 classes/wk 15% discount

4 classes/wk 25% discount

5 classes/wk 35% discount 

6+ classes/wk 45% discount

 

6.2 In the event that one sibling leaves during a term or a student drops back down to 1 class/wk, the % discount will no longer apply.

 

7. Waiver 

7.1 Physical contact through technical placement correction is required in the study of dance; I/we realise, acknowledge and agree this is necessary to aid in the teaching of dance. If you have any concerns regarding this matter please contact the Principal via email.

8. Photography /Filming policy

8.1 Students/Parents are not permitted to video or photograph classes, students or staff at any time, unless given permission by the staff or individuals involved.  Photos of children should not be posted on social media platforms without the permission of the parent/guardian.

8.2 Annual concert performance and/or competition videos are not to be posted on public websites such as YouTube or Facebook, without Principals permission.

8.3 Lauren Healey Dance Academy may use photographs/videos of the students to promote the academy via flyers, website, social media and advertising.  All parents/students are required to read the photography release form below prior to agreeing to the Term and conditions.  

 

9. Health and safety policy

9.1 Behaviour from students, parents or visitors that may cause an unsafe environment will not be tolerated.

9.2 Lauren Healey Dance Academy MUST be notified of any of the following in order to plan and deliver safe and effective tuition and student experience:

9.2a Pre existing injuries or medical conditions
9.2b Any special needs that may require additional support
9.2c Any allergies and associated action plans or medical documentation. Lauren Healey Dance Academy adopt & enforce a NO NUT POLICY in the studio.

9.3 Parents/Guardians are responsible for minors before and after class times are not permitted to drop off earlier than a students scheduled class time. 

9.4 Fire extinguishers, fire hose reels and fire blankets are located within the premises.

10. Injury / First aid policy

10.1 Where an injury occurs, the student will receive treatment from a qualified first aider.  Physical contact may be required.

10.2 In the situation where an ambulance is required, an ambulance will be called by Lauren Healey Dance Academy.  The parent will incur these costs.

10.3 Where an injury occurs, the students’ parent/guardian will be contacted by the teacher using the contact information given on the enrolment form.

10.4 Injuries that occur on the premises will be recorded on an Incident report form.

 

11. Uniform policy

11.1 The uniform set out by Lauren Healey Dance Academy is compulsory for all students, excluding Adult classes. The set uniform must be worn to all classes.

11.2 Those who are not in correct uniform may not get the chance to feature on the website, or other advertising material.

 

12. Annual Dance Concert Policy

12.1 The Annual dance concert is optional, although teachers must be informed by term 2 via email if they do not wish to participate as costumes are organised early in the year.

12.2 Those participating in the Concert must attend at least 70% of their class for the year and attend a compulsory Rehearsal, Dress Rehearsal and Theatre Rehearsal, in order to participate in the Concert.

13. Behaviour / Conduct policy

13.1 Lauren Healey Dance Academy does not tolerate swearing, indecent or disrespectful language or disrespectful conduct from students, parents/guardians, family members, or visitors.  

 

14. Data Protection 

14.1 Lauren Healey Dance Academy will not disclose your information to third parties outside the Academy except where the law allows or requires, or where you have given your permission to do so.

15. Changes to the terms and conditions

15.1The Academy reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time providing one term’s notice is given.

16. Agreement to the terms and conditions

16.1 Parents and guardians of students attending classes are required to accept the terms and conditions for each student enrolled by selecting I agree to the terms and conditions of enrolment at the bottom of the online enrolment form.

3 ACROBATICS WAIVER

1.1 I understand that the activity involves risk of serious bodily injury, including permanent disability, paralysis, and death, which may be caused by the acrobat/gymnast’s actions or inactions, those of others participating in the Activity, the conditions in which the activity takes place, the negligence of the “Released Parties” named below, or other causes. I further understand that there may be other risks either not known to me or not readily foreseeable at this time. I fully accept & assume all such risks and all responsibility for losses, cost, and damages that may result from the Activity. I hereby give my approval of and consent to the acrobat/gymnast’s participation in the Activity.

1.2 I hereby release, acquit, covenant not to sue, and forever discharge Lauren Healey Dance Academy its owners, officers, administrators, employees, agents, volunteers, sponsors, advertisers, coaches and supervisors, and the owners and lessors of any facilities within which the activity is conducted, their respective agents and employees, and all the persons providing facilities or assisting in the conduct of the Activity.(collectively the (“Released Parties”) of and from any and all actions, causes of action, claims, demands, liability, losses or damages of whatever name or nature, including but not limited to those arising from or in any way related to the negligence of any of the Released Parties, that arise out of or are connected in any way to the acrobat/gymnast’s participation in the Activity and the transportation of the above named gymnast to and from the Activity(collectively the (“Released Claims”).

 

4 HOLIDAY WORKSHOPS 

Lauren Healey Dance Academy reserves the right to change advertised class details if required and also reserves the right to refuse any enrolment if the terms of enrolment are not accepted.

                        

1.1 Workshops that don’t meet minimum numbers may be cancelled. In the event of a cancellation, at least 24 hours notice will be given and you will be issued with a full refund. Enrolments are confirmed upon submission of enrolment form with full payment online. Enrolments are accepted on a first in, first served basis.

1.2 Payment is taken online via PayPal on submission of your enrolment form.

1.3 If you provide a written request at least 24 hours prior to the class you will receive a 50% refund of the class fee.

1.4 Some of the activities may present a level of risk. Patrons participate at their own risk.

1.5 Enrolment in a course indicates consent for LHDA to photograph/film students during activities/courses that they are participating in at the centre for the purpose of publicity or promotion.

 

4 PHOTO/VIDEO RELEASE 

1.1 Photos and Videos of you and your child will not be sold to outside vendors and will solely be used by Lauren Healey Dance Academy for advertising, record keeping or displays.

1.2 I give Lauren Healey Dance Academy and it's staff the right to use photos and videos of me or my child on any form of advertising created only for Lauren Healey Dance Academy and its associated events. 

1.3 Photos or videos may be used in advertisements, Lauren Healey Dance Academy social media platforms, brochures, the Lauren Healey Dance Academy official website, or any other material promoted by the studio.

1.4 I understand I will not be compensated for the use of me or my child's photos/videos.
