1. Health & Safety (Including Illness Management)​
1.1 By attending classes, workshops, or events at Lauren Healey Dance Academy (LHDA), all students and families agree to comply with all relevant health and safety guidelines as determined by LHDA, in line with current government and health authority advice.
1.2 LHDA reserves the right to refuse entry to any person who is unwell, displaying symptoms of illness, or unwilling to comply with health and safety requirements.

2. LHDA Classes​
2.1 Fees, Deposits & Refunds
2.1.1 Fees are charged per class, per term. A $100 non-refundable annual deposit is required at the start of the year to secure a student’s place. Enrolment is a commitment to the year unless withdrawn in accordance with these terms.
2.1.2 An invoice for the full term will be issued at the beginning of each term.
2.1.3 Fees are only pro-rated for new students commencing mid-term. Existing students are charged for the full term even if unable to attend from the first week.
2.1.4 Students enrolling during the year will be invoiced following their first class, with payment required immediately.
2.1.5 No refunds or credits are provided for non-attendance, holidays, or personal scheduling conflicts.
2.2 Payment
2.2.1 Invoices must be paid by the due date to secure enrolment, or prior to attending classes following a free trial for mid-term enrolments.
2.2.2 Payment is accepted by Direct Bank Transfer only.
Students’ full name and invoice number must be used as the payment reference.
Remittance is to be emailed to admin@lhdanceacademy.net.
2.3 Attendance & Absence
2.3.1 Attendance rolls are maintained for health, safety, and security purposes.
2.3.2 If a student is absent for four (4) or more consecutive weeks, a refund of 90% of fees for missed classes may be issued upon receipt of a valid medical certificate. The certificate must be provided within 14 days of the absence.
2.3.3 If a class is cancelled due to teacher illness, venue issues, public health restrictions, or unforeseen circumstances, LHDA will endeavour to reschedule the class where possible.
Rescheduled classes may occur at a different time or date or via a term extension.
No refunds or credits are provided, and make-up classes are not guaranteed.

3. Late Payments​
3.1 A payment reminder will be issued on the invoice due date and again 7 days after the due date if payment has not been received.
3.2 If payment remains outstanding and the parent/guardian has not contacted LHDA to arrange a payment plan, LHDA reserves the right to require the account to move to direct debit in order for the student to continue attending classes.
3.3 A late payment fee of $5 per week, per invoice will be applied for each week an invoice remains unpaid after the due date.
3.4 Continued failure to settle outstanding invoices or comply with direct debit requirements may result in suspension of classes until the account is brought up to date.

4. Right to Attend, Class Changes & Withdrawal​
4.1 Students will not be permitted to attend classes if fees remain unpaid after the due date.
4.2 LHDA reserves the right to suspend attendance if fees remain outstanding after the start of term.
4.3 Any class changes or additional enrolments require written parent/guardian consent via email and will be invoiced accordingly.
4.4 Withdrawal from a class requires one full term’s written notice via email.
Fees remain payable for the term in which notice is given.
No refunds or credits are provided for early withdrawal.

5. Class Pricing (Inclusive of GST)

30-minute class: $17 per class
-
45-minute class: $25 per class
-
60-minute class: $28 per class
All fees are inclusive of GST where applicable.
Prices are subject to change in accordance with Section 15.

6. Physical Contact Waiver​
6.1 Physical contact is required for technical correction in dance training. By enrolling, you acknowledge and consent to this.
Any concerns should be raised with the Principal via email.

7. Photography & Filming Policy​
7.1 Parents and students are not permitted to photograph or film classes without staff permission.
7.2 Concert and competition footage must not be shared publicly without written permission from the Principal.
7.3 LHDA may use photographs and videos of students for promotional purposes as outlined in Section 19.
8. Health & Safety Policy​
8.1 Unsafe or inappropriate behaviour from students, parents, or visitors will not be tolerated.
8.2 LHDA must be notified of:

Special learning or support needs

Allergies and action plans
LHDA enforces a strict NO NUT POLICY.
8.3 Parents/guardians are responsible for minors before and after class times. Early drop-offs are not permitted.
8.4 Emergency equipment is located on all premises.

9. Injury & First Aid​
9.1 Injuries will be treated by a qualified first aider where required.
9.2 Where an ambulance is required, one will be called by LHDA. Associated costs are the responsibility of the parent/guardian.
9.3 Parents/guardians will be contacted using enrolment details.
9.4 All injuries are recorded via incident report forms.
9.5 While LHDA takes reasonable care, students attend classes at their own risk.
10. Uniform Policy​
10.1 LHDA uniform is compulsory for all students except Adult classes.
10.2 Students not in correct uniform may be unable to participate fully and may not be included in promotional or advertising material.

11. Annual Dance Concert​
11.1 Participation is optional. Non-participation must be advised via email by Term 2.
11.2 Concert participants must attend at least 70% of classes and all compulsory rehearsals to perform.
12. Behaviour & Conduct​
12.1 LHDA does not tolerate disrespectful, abusive, or unsafe behaviour.
12.2 LHDA reserves the right to suspend or terminate enrolment without refund where behaviour is deemed inappropriate or unsafe.

13. Data Protection​
13.1 Personal information will not be disclosed outside LHDA except where legally required or with consent.
14. Force Majeure​
LHDA is not liable for failure to provide classes due to events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, venue closures, government restrictions, or public health emergencies.
No refunds or credits apply in these circumstances.

15. Changes to Terms & Conditions​
15.1 LHDA reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions with one term’s notice.
16. Agreement​
16.1 Parents and guardians must accept these Terms & Conditions via the online enrolment form for each student enrolled.

17. Acrobatics Waiver​
17.1 I agree my child has met the prerequisites for their acrobatics level:
Foundations:
Handstand, cartwheel, forward & backward roll, bridge.
Elementary:
Proficient handstand, cartwheel, forward & backward roll, bridge, bridge kick-over, one-arm cartwheel.
Pre-Intermediate:
Proficient handstand, cartwheel, one-arm cartwheel, forward & backward rolls, front & back limber.
Intermediate:
Proficient handstand, cartwheel, one-arm cartwheel, forward & backward rolls, front & back limber, front & back walkover.
17.2 I acknowledge that acrobatics involves risk of serious injury and voluntarily accept all risks associated with participation.
17.3 I release Lauren Healey Dance Academy and all associated parties from liability arising from participation in acrobatics activities.

18. Holiday Workshops
18.1 Workshops may be cancelled if minimum numbers are not met. Full refunds will be issued with at least 24 hours’ notice.
18.2 Payment is required in full at enrolment.
18.3 Written cancellations received at least 24 hours prior will receive a 50% refund.
18.4 Participation is at the student’s own risk.

19. Photo & Video Release
19.1 Photos and videos will not be sold to third parties and will be used solely by LHDA.
19.2 LHDA may use photos and videos for advertising, social media, website, and promotional materials.
19.3 No compensation will be provided for the use of images.
